Here’s what you need to know about the latest stuff going on:

– There are still seats available for the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular trip on Monday, December 2, 2013. See the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular post for details and the order form. Remember, a small portion of the cost goes into the Disney Trip Fund.

– The Poinsettia Sale ends on November 26, 2013. For $13 you can help decorate the stage at the upcoming DVHS Band, Orchestra, and Chorus concerts. See the Poinsettia Sale post for details and the order form. You can also donate your Poinsettia to a local nursing home by writing DONATION instead of your name on the form.

– The Yankee Candle online sale continues until mid-January. See the Yankee Candle Fundraiser Reminder post for details.

– Music Wear sales continue. T-Shirts and Cinch Bags are just $10 each. Download the order form and send it in to your Director. You will also be able to buy these at the concert Bake Sales. Music Wear purchases support the Disney Trip Fund.

– There are lots of things to report as a result of last Thursday’s Parent Meeting. Once Diane and I get all our notes together, we will post them.

Here’s what you need to know about the latest stuff going on:

– Our next Parent Meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, November 21, 2013 @ 5:30 PM in the DVHS 11/12 Cafe. For more info, see the post about it. We really want to see a lot of parents at this one as we are gearing up for our big fundraising season with the concert bake and merchandise sales. We also have some great ideas to raise money without asking our parents to keep shelling it all out!

– The DV Educational Foundation Citrus Sale continues. The order deadline is Friday, November 22, 2013. See the following posts on it for more information: Citrus Sale and Citrus Sale Deadline and Delivery

– Diane Sommer and I are scheduling a Parent Meeting for this month and will let you know the date as soon as we get an OK on building usage. We are hoping to see many more parents at this meeting as we have a lot to discuss and plan for the quickly approaching concerts and our spring plans to raise money (and have fun!).

– The November orders for Market Day are due to your Director by Friday, November 8, 2013. Online orders can be placed up until 11:00 PM on Tuesday, November 12, 2013. Our November Market Day order is when we give back by donating pies to the local food pantry. Please see the Market Day Fundraising and Pie Donations post for details.

radiocitymusichallThe DVHS Music Dept. is once again offering a trip to see the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular. Here are the highlights:

  • Monday, December 2, 2013
  • Avery Coach Buses (with facilities) leave DVHS parking lot at 7:30 AM
  • arrive in NYC in time to see the 11:00 AM show
  • the rest of the afternoon is yours to wander NYC
  • the buses leave NYC at 4:00 PM
  • arrive at DVHS at approximately 7:00 PM
  • tickets are $80 each, non refundable
  • students must be accompanied by an adult
  • first come, first served

All information is available on the flyer. Please print and return the bottom portion of the flyer with your payment to your Director.

A small portion of the cost goes to the proposed 2016 Disney Trip Fund.
