Expo Volunteers and Donators – last chance for credit!

Posted: April 12, 2016 by Elizabeth Lukan in Community Expo

Attention all who donated to or volunteered at the Community Expo!

Did you forget to sign in or sign out? Did you forget to make a note of a donation? Did you forget to note yourself and/or your kids?

You have until the end of this Friday, April 15th, to send me an email or Facebook message. If you don’t, that’s it, I’m not going back and correcting ANYTHING later on.

Remember, this is also the credits towards the Community Expo Student Competition. Everyone is eligible for that except for those of us on the planning committee which are Diane Sommer, myself, and our kids. This competition doesn’t come out of the profits of the event thanks to a generous sponsor.

Vendor setup, parking, and more

Posted: April 6, 2016 by Elizabeth Lukan in Community Expo, Vendor/Craft Fair

I just sent the following to all our vendors via email, but wanted to also post it here in case the email gets missed.

Dear Vendors,

Due to the construction and other events that are happening this weekend, we are asking all vendors to go around the back of the complex and park there. So, this is how it is going to work…

– Please enter the Delaware Valley High School complex and follow the road to the right and find the 9/10 entrance. I have attached a map.

– A volunteer will meet you at the 9/10 entrance and assist you to unload your car onto a cart, wait with your items while you park, and then get you through the building to the vendor fair.

It is vital that you park in the back so that the front lots can be used by our guests. The last thing either of us needs is for a potential customer to drive away because they couldn’t find a parking spot.

Setup times are as follows:

Friday: 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM (we open to the public at 10 AM)
Sunday: 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM (we open to the public at 10 AM)

For those vendors who have spots with electricity, please remember to bring your own extension cord and surge protector. We definitely won’t have any to loan you as they are all being used elsewhere.

Please reply to this message and let me know if you are planning on arriving Friday evening to setup. I need to schedule my volunteers and must know how many I’m expecting!

This is a copy of the email I sent out to everyone I have an address for. For those that didn’t get the email, please help.

Dear DV Music Students, Parents, and Alumni,

This weekend, Fri., 4/8 through Sun., 4/10, is our biggest event ever… the DV Music Dept. Booster Club Community Expo.

We desperately need volunteers and donations in order to make this event a success.

This event funds Scholarships, Disney 2016, and Disney 2020. If we fail to make this event a success, we will

– not make our goal of $6,000 for Scholarships this year
– not be able to help the DV Music Dept. cover the cost of the rental truck and instrument insurance which was not included in your Disney 2016 trip costs
– not be able to get a head start on Disney 2020 and reduce the cost of that trip

Everyone who volunteers and donates will either put money towards the Disney 2016 extra costs, start banking money for their own trip in 2020 (6th – 8th graders only), or reduce the overall cost of 2020.

Please visit and sign up to help wherever you can.

If everyone gives just a little of their time, we will be able to pull this off!
